Brown of Des Moines is a flutist and saxophonist who began his musical journey as a trombonist with the late Karl Killinger. From 1972 through 2002 Don performed throughout New York and New Jersey in a variety of musical settings. His musical family includes Jazz Hall of Fame members Ellsworth and Dartanyan, his father and brother respectively, as well as his nephew drummer Jaimeo.
